Payments sometimes take a moment to appear in Knead. Most issues resolve quickly once you know where to look.Common Reasons Payments Go Missing
Stripe is not connected. If you have not connected a Stripe account, Knead cannot process payments. Customers will see your order form but won’t have a way to pay online. The payment is still processing. Stripe payments typically appear within a few minutes. Occasionally, bank processing can cause delays of up to 24 hours. The customer did not complete checkout. A customer may have started an order but abandoned the payment screen. The order will show as unpaid in your dashboard. The payment went to a different Stripe account. If you have multiple Stripe accounts, confirm the correct one is connected to Knead.Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
- Open The Counter and tap Orders.
- Find the order in question.
- Check the payment status. It will show as Paid, Unpaid, or Processing.
- If the status is Processing, wait up to 24 hours and check again.
- If the status is Unpaid, the customer has not completed payment. Reach out to them directly.
Check Your Stripe Dashboard
If an order shows as paid in Knead but funds have not reached your bank:- Log in to your Stripe dashboard at dashboard.stripe.com.
- Tap Payments in the sidebar.
- Search for the payment by amount or customer email.
- Confirm the payment status in Stripe.
Good to know: Stripe payouts to your bank account typically take 2-7 business days, depending on your country and bank. This is separate from the payment appearing in Knead.
Verify Your Stripe Connection
- Open The Counter.
- Go to Settings and tap Payments.
- Confirm your Stripe account is connected and active.
- If it shows as disconnected, tap Connect Stripe and follow the prompts.
When to Contact Support
Reach out to hello@kneadapp.co if:- A payment shows as Paid in Knead but does not appear in Stripe.
- Your Stripe connection fails repeatedly.
- A customer confirms they paid but the order still shows Unpaid.
