Overview
Production hours tell Knead when you are available to bake. These hours are the foundation of your capacity calculations. Without them, The Sweet Spot cannot show you how full your days are.Where to Set Production Hours
- Tap your business name in the top-left corner to open Settings.
- Tap Production Hours.
- You see a list of all seven days of the week.
Setting Hours for Each Day
- Toggle a day on to mark it as a baking day.
- Set the start time for when you begin production.
- Set the end time for when you stop.
- Tap Save when you are done.
Setting Different Hours for Different Days
Not every day looks the same. You might bake a full day on Thursdays and Fridays but only a half day on Wednesdays for prep work. Set each day independently. Toggle days off entirely if you do not bake on them. For example:- Monday: Off
- Tuesday: Off
- Wednesday: 9:00 AM — 12:00 PM (prep day)
- Thursday: 7:00 AM — 4:00 PM (full bake day)
- Friday: 7:00 AM — 4:00 PM (full bake day)
- Saturday: 8:00 AM — 12:00 PM (delivery morning)
- Sunday: Off
How Production Hours Feed Into Capacity
Every product in Knead can have an estimated production time. When a customer places an order, Knead adds up the production time for each item and compares it against your available hours for that day. The result is the capacity bar you see on The Sweet Spot. If you set eight hours of production time on a Thursday and accepted orders account for six hours of work, The Sweet Spot shows that day at 75% capacity.Good to know: If you have not added production time estimates to your products, the capacity bar will not reflect order load accurately. Head to your product catalog and add time estimates for the best results.
What Happens Outside Production Hours
Days that are toggled off appear as unavailable on The Sweet Spot. More importantly, these days also affect The Board. When a customer visits your order form, dates with no production hours are not available for selection. This prevents customers from requesting orders on days you do not bake. If you need to block off a specific date that would normally be a production day, use the date blocking feature instead of changing your regular hours.Related Articles
